About Me
I live in Bristol, TN / VA, a city that's half in one state and half in another. My husband and I recently sold Bliss, the small agency we owned, which focused on web development, online marketing and social media. I've worked in the industry professionally since 2001, although I've been building websites for fun since around 1997.I am currently looking for my next challenge. I can't wait to explore new ideas and work on exciting new projects.

eBeauty Professional
A well-established direct-to-salon beauty products supply company needed to update their brand with a more contemporary logo and a new direction that could accommodate future online services. My work on this project included company naming (eBeauty as formerly Economy Beauty Supply), tagline (A Tradition of Style), domain research, and website design and development.

ScentBase - scentbase.com
ScentBase.com is used by people around the world who collect essential oil-based perfumes, a fast growing hobby supporting artisan scentmakers. Users add scents to their collections by searching — and if they can't find their product in the database (with over 15,000 entries), they add it to the system which then makes it available to other users.
ScentBase has received an overwhelmingly positive reception from the community of collectors, who continue to improve the website by adding new content, correcting errors, and suggesting new features.

Turtleson is a niche apparel company featuring high-end flip flops, hats, t-shirts, and jackets. The Turtleson website utilizes a flexible, custom shopping cart system integrated with Paypal to allow online sales.

Art in Public Places is a non profit annual sculpture competition that enhances our community while rewarding artists. I have volunteered my time to this project since 2006, and currently serve as treasurer on the board of directors for AiPP. I developed the logo and website for AiPP, and design the brochure and other materials each year.

The client was very instrumental in co-production for the final product, which was demonstrative of their proactive approach to technology and communication.

HVAC, Inc. is the region's premier specialty contractor located in Bristol, TN. Their history and dedication to quality services, commercial and residential, is second to none in their industry. The new website for HVAC, Inc. is an informational storehouse for all that they do, including a showcase of projects and photo galleries of the wide array of work they have accomplished.

Mobile Web-Based CRM
The client needed all sales reps to be on the same page in regards to the status of leads, important contacts, and other business information, and to be able to access this information on the road. However, staff members used different mobile devices, from iPads to iPhones to Android phones to Blackberries. They needed an easy way to track customer data across the company without investing in a huge enterprise solution.
I developed a simple and powerful mobile CRM with two different modes: a full-size browser mode (that works great on iPads and desktops) and a smaller version optimized for mobile browsers that uses vertical scrolling to conserve space.

• Ease of deployment and cross-training
• No per-user license fee
• Custom branded design
• Customers, Contacts, and Notes — all interconnected
• Automated reminder system that generates appointment reminder emails every morning

Working with an academic institution was complex but rewarding. I worked with a team of faculty and staff at the university to create a distinct presence for the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at Radford University.
The department staff required a diverse set of documents and content elements to present to potential and existing students. I developed a custom CMS for this project that allows DNP staff to easily manage the different types of information they need to convey to students.
